Pre-Loved Podcast: Bedford Vintage
Today, I’m joined by Olivia, the owner, founder, and curator of Bedford Vintage. Born and raised in New York City, Olivia is passionate about repurposing clothing and giving vintage pieces a new life.
Olivia started out in vintage selling on Depop and at various markets throughout New York under the name Classon Street Vintage. She actually started selling clothing online while in high school, but Classon Street Vintage went from side hustle to full time job during the start pandemic when she was able to nurture it to its full potential.
Most recently, in October 2021, Olivia opened a physical location for what is now Bedford Vintage, in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She carries vintage, secondhand, and locally hand made pieces and specializes in 90s and Y2k styles.
On this episode, we chat about her journey from Depop seller to store owner, what went into opening a brick and mortar store, and how being in the secondhand fashion space has changed her relationship with fashion entirely – plus favorite style stories and more!
I hope you’ll enjoy it! Let’s dive right in!
